Bio
Indigo Erin Durnan graduated from NSCAD University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Textiles and Fashion and minoring in Art History. He followed this with a Diploma of Costume Studies from Dalhousie University in 2017. (And then ran away to join the circus for a while.) Indigo's work focuses primarily on wearables. His interests lie in costume, both historical and fantastical, and in using traditional textile processes, such as weaving, dyeing, knitting and felting to create work which highlights the importance of hand-production in craft. He considers himself a craftsperson rather than an artist. |
